The Golden Ratio

The Jeffrey Bruce Baker iconographic is inspired by The Golden Ratio, the mathematical rule of thirds. In composition and design, the rule helps draw the eyes to the most important elements. In life, the Fibonacci numbers — the numbers that make up the golden ratio – 61.8% (. 618) represent the amount of time that should be spent on the present.

Founder and Design Director

Jeffrey Baker, ASID, RA, AIA, NCARB, is the creative force behind Jeffrey Bruce Baker Designs, an US-based architecture and interior design studio he founded in 2009, with offices in New York, NY, Atlanta, GA, and Kotor, Montenegro. With a passion for blending modern elegance, classical beauty, and cutting-edge luxury, Jeffrey has become a leading voice in redefining sophisticated living on an international scale.

His vision? To offer the comprehensive services of a large firm within the personalized, detail-obsessed atmosphere of a boutique studio. For Jeffrey, design isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces—it’s about telling stories, evoking emotions, and crafting environments that feel timeless and effortless. From the grandest architectural gestures to the tiniest details, his work reflects a devotion to impeccable proportions, refined materials, and unparalleled craftsmanship.

Jeffrey doesn’t just design spaces; he designs experiences. Many of the custom furnishings and products featured in his portfolio are his own creations, infused with a sense of artistry, perfectionism, and a nod to the transformative power of design. His philosophy is simple: luxury should feel seamless, secluded, and immune to the passage of time.

A proud graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University with a degree in architecture and building sciences, Jeffrey sharpened his skills both in Atlanta and Italy, gaining a global perspective on design. Before launching his own studio, he served as Lead Designer and Project Manager at Smallwood Reynolds Stewart Stewart, where he helmed iconic luxury projects like The Streets of Buckhead, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Sovereign, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and Reynolds Plantation.

Today, with NCARB certification enabling his work across national and international borders, Jeffrey is passionate about pushing the boundaries of luxury design, inspiring his clients to dream bigger while ensuring no detail goes unnoticed.

Chris McKinley
Director of Operations and Development

Chris joined Jeffrey Bruce Baker as Director in 2015.

An indispensable match of skill sets with more than 20 years of expertise in client experience, marketing, and business management, Chris oversees Jeffrey Bruce Baker Designs growth, marketing, planning, development, customer experience, and new product development.

Chris oversees operations and designs the overall client experience and the tools needed to keep the project on track, the budgets on target and overall, providing a fun and easy client experience.

Chris’s business academic background is Boston strong, with a B.S. in Marketing from Suffolk University and the Senior Management program at Babson College.

Before joining Jeffrey Bruce Baker Designs, Chris was the Executive Vice President at a marketing agency in Washington D.C. and has done advocacy, marketing, and fundraising work raising hundreds of millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations, both nationally and internationally.
